Respite Care involves having a trained professional providing in-home supervision for your child so that parents or caregivers can take a break, go to dinner, do the grocery shopping or just have some time to themselves. Each approved child receives 168 hours of Respite Care during a 12 month period. Respite Care is not provided during hours that the parents are working.
Each eligible child receives $1500.00 that may be used to make physical adaptations to their home that are necessary to ensure the health, welfare and safety of the child. Expenditures are capped at $1500.00 per 36 months; uses are determined on a case by case basis.
